Massa ended McLaren s domination of this week s testing at Hockenheim by finishing with the quickest time of the day on Thursday. He was the only man to put in a time under 1 minute 15 seconds. Jenson Button was the surprise of the day the Brit finished with the second quickest time of the day, just a few tenths behind Massa.
Toyota have become the latest time to evaluate the anvil wing , with Jarno Trulli trying it out for a few laps.
The day was relatively uneventful with just three red flags. The first was from Kazuki Nakajima who stopped out on track in the morning. Giancarlo Fisichella then crashed his VJM01 at the Sachskurve mid-afternoon. The final red flag was caused by Fernando Alonso who stopped out on track in his Renault late afternoon.
