Force India have to be the biggest improvers this year, they are no longer the laughing stock they were back in the Midland and Spyker days, especially as they have the a small budget and brought out the car very late.

Red Bull. Yes the Brawn almost didnt exist, but their car was being developed long before anybody started ther 09 car with Honda's money. The Red Bull car is just another Newey masterpiece, and is the only car that stayed with the Brawn in the first half of the season even though it didnt have a double diffuser.

There's more to a team than car design though

Anybody who thinks Brawn has been deluded by the mass media's machinations. The fact is, their has been designed since 2007 and Honda have pumped hundreds of millions of Pounds/Dollars into it. If Honda - sorry, Brawn - did not have a good car this year, then there would have been something badly wrong.

The team of the season has to go to either Force India or McLaren. Force India, because they have improved dramatically and look set to get better. Or McLaren, because developing the MP4-24 from a car that was 2.5 seconds off the pace in March to one of the leading cars before the middle of the year is heroic. On balance, I'd give it to McLaren.

I don't agree. Both McLaren and Ferrari had to fight one hell of a title battle in 2008, and had the balls to use KERS.

They both dropped the ball on the double diffuser, yet they couldn't match the pace of Red Bull who also didn't have a double diffuser, but were close to the Brawns.

On a number of occasions, McLaren and Ferrari have looked quicker than Red Bull (and Brawn). Granted, McLaren and Ferrari dropped the ball on the double diffuser, but there were other things they did well; the diffuser is only one component of the car (albeit an important one). Again, though, it has to be taken into consideration that McLaren and Ferrari had a tough title battle in 2008, so were well behind in 2009, and both teams now have had 2010 in sight for a while. McLaren have been developing the MP4-24 with 2010 in mind, and Ferrari have long given up on their 2009 car. So, with these, and other things in mind, I don't think Brawn's season has been wonderful as has been made out.

Brawn because its a hell of a comback even if it was with Honda's Money
