Since the FIA has told the current teams their entries are in-valid, it seems like the FIA are implying we have enough teams to go racing next year without you.

But would you watch F1 next year, knowing that the grid line-up would be:
Williams
Lola
Prodrive
USF1
March
Campos
Litespeed
Superfund
Epsilon Euskadi

Not to mention the fact that all the main drivers will probably leave as well, leaving Williams to wipe the floor all year long, with 17 straight victories for Rosberg.

i suppose if FOTA were to start there won race series i would rather watch Ferrari`s race Mclarens etc than watch the small teams currently being mentioned in F1 for next year, So i suppose no from me, but then again i do have a habit of watching almost any kind of motorsport on TV so it could be a yes

:hehe:

Actually, I think it *might* make for more interesting racing because there is the potential for quite big disparities between the teams therefore could be lots of overtaking etc.

I think I would probably watch at least the first couple of races to see how interesting it was, before deciding if it was something I really wanted to follow or not (this is also assuming that it's shown for free on a TV channel I have - if it was packaged with Sky or something, I wouldn't pay just to watch).

No. But I would hope the real teams would start a new series.

Allthough a long time Williams fan, my answer is:

absolutely, no fricking way, NO :director:

Just thinking about it is already ridicoulous.

I wouldn't watch it.
I could watch a race or two... like i watch A1 and FIA Gt, but not even close to watching a full season. It would grow even duller in the seasons to come, as with the reduced budget, and lack of technical innovation it will quickly become obsolete.

The thing that bothers me the most is that instead of looking for solutions, the FIA and the teams are more interested in a political battle and a show of force that further destabilizes the commercial aspect. There is only one cause for this: LACK OF POLITICAL LEADERSHIP.

Sorry Max... you are incompetent and should not be occupying the position you hold.

No, as out of all the teams listed, only a couple are credible outfits. Also, a lot of the drivers would leave, too. Moreover, I also support McLaren, so Formula One without it (as well as other famous teams) would be hollow.

I would watch it as F1 is F1. It may not be the same but i still think that with the grid getting closer together in terms of the technical side of things then it would make for an exciting season. Although I would miss the likes of Ferrari, Renault and Mclaren. I also think that this would end up causing a lot of the grand prix circuits to be empty as the crowds would really want to see the best drivers and teams. I mean if look at the calendar you can tell which ones would be empty. Monza, Istanbul and then Britain maybe if they have no Brits in the field. So I hope FOTA and the FIA can sort this out

I don't think the drivers would leave unless an alternative 'F1' was created, not straight away anyway (that is discounting the whole contract can of worms!). Let's face it, if the main draw drivers like Hamilton, Alonso etc stayed then F1 would be fine, because the mass of non-hardcore F1 fans don't really care about the teams...

It's also entirely possible for a 'new team' to wipe the floor with everyone if they prepare correctly! :hehe:

As for this topic, would definitely watch it. The cars would still be incredible. If there was a breakaway series, i'd watch that too!

I didn't vote yes just because I'm a Williams fan and would love the prospect of them utterly dominating every race, but because even though we have Mad Max and that senile git Bernie in charge, F1 is still F1.
