Okay guys, first major contended race penalty here. Because it's the Fans' Formula One World Championship I'm running here, I don't care what the Stewards said if you guys disagree, so this is the first penalty being put up for overturning. So, do you think the penalty was fair? Do you think that whilst Trulli did not get 3rd fairly, he should only have gone back to 4th? Answer the poll by Friday and I'll update the FF1WC Friday to reflect your decision.

No guesses who voted for the 3rd option

I voted for the wrong one by mistake!:hehe:

It's odd how absolutely no footage has surfaced, what the hell is up with that?

Surely there is some sort of Youtube fan footage, or "security Camera" available.
I agree though there were camera's down there, why wasn't it picked up!!!!!

Another thing, Hamilton's car def had a working onboard camera during the race, surely there will be footage on the incident from there?

Yeah

I seem to remember at times last season streamed vids were put up of certain incidents on the formula1.com website, wonder if they're saving it for there...

Maybe they have no footage. The FOM have done that before... Senna :(

Guys Trulli duck up right infront of where i was sitting he went off track and well onto the grass.

Nobody is disputing that. However, if you read the other thread about it, Lewis states in an interview that after that he was told, by the team, to let Trulli pass. Trulli then thought that Lewis had a problem because he slowed and pulled over, so he went by (as the safety car rules permit).

Well I think if he wasn't meant to pass Hamilton then the result should be Hamilton 3rd Trulli 4th

Maybe if Trulli had been privy to the particular piece of information, yes. But seeing as he couldn't hear the McLaren radio communications, the only thing he could do was pass Hamilton who looked like he was having a problem. At the very least, McLaren should've realised it was their cock-up and not have run to the stewards about it afterwards. They created this whole mess with their paranoia and it's only fair that the penalty is waived.
