Simple, as it says on the tin. Give reasons why, for the sake of a discussion....

Algy has done very well the way he worked almost non-stop through practice in Hungary and got to grips with the car quickly considering he has come up through F3 Euroseries, Renault World Series and not GP2. He has been more than a match for the overrated Buemi.

Grosjean has been dissapointing, and it was hardly a surprise considering the way he complacently drove in GP2 this year, he did ok at Valencia but the rest of the time he has been almost as bad as Piquet.

Kobayashi... I've said enough about him already, he makes Yuji Ide look like Heidfeld.

I'm going to say Kamui Kobayashi he did well in the qualifying chaos yesterday and was aggressive and exciting to watch during the race.

Bit dodgy with that nakajima incident but other than that all good.

Kamui Kobayashi for sure,he let everybody remember him after his first race, especially Button :hehe:

None of them have been great. Grosjean has been on the pace occasionally which is more than goes fro the others. I wouldn't hire any of them for next year based on what we've seen but testing should help them out.

Buemi is the only one who really had a real pre season to build up the mileage and get up to pace. Considering the rest were thrown in the deep end they have done alright, i would like to see them Particularly Grosjean do some preseason miles and then make a proper judgement. But i dont think he will be hired for 2010.

Anyway - why no badoer option?

Cause he wasn't a rookie? :P

I think the fact that they're all fairly rubbish (I haven't seen enough of Kobayashi yet) screams "Bring back testing".

I agree. Out of all the polls, this has been the most tough to give an answer to. Given Alguersuari was thrown in at the deep end, I'll give it to him.

For this I would say Sebastian Buemi.... Kobayashi had a great first race for me but he was overly aggressive at points IMO and he's only had one race. Buemi outpaced Bourdais at the beginning of the season and has shown some impressive pace throughout qualifying and during the Brazilian GP... Lets not forget that the Toyota is a superior car to the STR and this makes it all the more difficult to compare performances. John Howett also mentioned that he was pleased with Kobayashi's performance but he thought his pace was too slow for the capabilties of the car. I don't agree with him on this, and am surprised he is so critical after so many years employing mid field drivers. It shows that the pressure is on in Tokyo to get a star in their car, and if Kimi declines the offer then Howett will have to be a little more motivational in his approach with Kobayashi IMO... :)

It shows how poor the newbies have been that Kobayashi has such a lead in this poll.

Kamui Kobayashi get's my vote as well; one race and he has already outshone the other rookies; a little green but lots of potential; I hope he gets a drive with Toyota next year!
