I've been thinking... which swims faster, an 'orse or a dog? Only kidding... but my WKD side has got me wondering how to make something out of races like Valencia and Bahrain. What would people think of cranking up the lap number and turning the race into something really tough and gruelling on the cars?

If they can't be entertaining overtaking affairs, why not make a race out of it by running the cars and drivers into the ground?

That's exactly the 'post-race look on the drivers faces' I had in mind

Bahrain's usually a really good race.

Valencia does suck though. I was defending it before this year.

It would be awfully nice if they put a couple of walls surrounding the slow corners so they couldn't make mistakes there.

Wait, I've just thought: if you're going to hold a marathon endurance F1 race, then there is no better place than LE MANS!!! :wavey:

Some races i'd possibly prefer to have a time limit rather than a set distance, ie Monza and Spa, because the circuits are relatively long and quick. Last weekend the race only lasted ~1h20m even after a safety car!

I think it would be a bad thing to have different sets of rules for different tracks. If a track is not up to standard, then it should not be on the calendar and replaced with something that is.

You mean 'shouldn't', ain't you?

I love endurance racing, that's proper motorsport imo. You still get tight on track battles, just loads more ebb and flow over the course of the race.

just for you, if you didn't catch it this year...

Oh man now thats racing!! Nothing beats 2 cars battling it out, while going through traffic at the same time. I wish we got coverage of that race here in the states, it looks intense! I love those Audi R8's too!! It makes me kinda mad too tho, I think Le Mans should let more than 55 cars race.

I love endurance racing and would not mind a 'one off non-point's' F1 event, say 6hr's but I doubt it would ever happen.
