I've been looking for a place to buy full seasons DVD's, and I don't mean the crappy "reviews", but the entire thing. I found one website, but he charges from $100 - $130 per season, which is ridiculous. I might as well sit for 10 months downloading it from torrents, but I rather not.

So does anyone know?

$100 for a full season, with full races, seems pretty good....
I have no idea where you could get something like that. Would the FIA/FOM allow that?
Maybe fia.com might have some info?

Downlaoding them from torrents you might even use up $100 of internet mate,
i think $100 is pretty good seing as it is alot of watching time.

Hi guys, I emailed the guy, and I made a mistake, it's upto $250 not $100. The price varies on what season you are exactly buying and how many DVD's it contains.

Yes that is alot of cash so thank god I have every season from '84 up to '95 recorded with a few races here and there up to around '01. Great link though which could be used for Christmas and birthday gift manipulation .

Lucky...I have only seen parts of seasons prior to '97. If it's recorded from '84, it's probably on tape, those won't last forever...any chance of risking a ton of cease and desist letters from ITV or whatever and putting them up on youtube

Haha, I was just kidding mate. You won't be noticed if you upload a few here and there, considering there is quite a bit already, but if you upload an entire season they'd definitely take notice, and hound you until you bring it down, and then it would have just been a waste of bandwith

Wouldn't risk it.

In either case, what format do you have the seasons on? If it's on CD/DVD then it would be really easy to do, but if it's on VHS, it's still possible, but a bit tricky.

Ohh, then you'd need a DVD recorder for that. Probably worth it if you got plenty of space on your computer and don't want to degrade the VHS quality, or got plenty of DVD's lying around.

But then again, give it a few years and I'm sure all the seasons would be floating around on the internet to download

Yah I can get the races transferred to DVD but it is VERY expensive. I just wanted to share the seasons/races with everyone, especially the newbs .

I'm encoding this season into h.264, my video format of choice, for portability and archiving with minimal footprint at watchable quality
